CairoCHI Bachelor Projects Competition

We invite all 2017/2018 graduates from Computer Science, Engineering, and Informatics disciplines to participate in the 1st CairoCHI Bachelor Projects Competition, where students from all Egyptian Universities will have the opportunity to pitch their graduation projects, get constructive feedback from expertise in the field, and have the chance to be nominated to win the competition.
Who can participate
Bachelor students who graduated this year and were registered in any university all over Egypt can participate. The graduation project should have a potential social impact in the Egyptian context.
Bachelor project teams should submit a two-page description for their projects using this format Research Paper Template and a graphical poster using a poster template of their preference such as this one. Teams will have to submit a signed letter from the project advisor or the university stating the project title and the students’ names.
Shortlisted teams will be invited to present their complete projects, and present posters and demos during the event. The poster presentations will be judged by a committee of HCI experts and ICT industry representatives, where the top 5 projects will be selected to pitch their projects to the jury in 15 minutes each. Three winning projects will be selected and awarded financial prizes provided by our sponsors.

Details and Location
The event will be held on campus in the German University in Cairo during the month of October. Students from around Egypt will be invited on a Friday to present their projects.
