In this session we talked about,  how machine learning techniques are utilized to analyze recorded brain activity and subsequently translate such activity to actions that can interact with the external environment. We also reviewed
applications that allow disabled patients to use their brain activity to spell different characters and control external devices.

ACM SIGCHI Sponsored HCI Summer School@ AfriCHI 2018

CairoCHI has joined forces with othe African ACM SIGCHI chpaters, the Namibian Windhoek chapter, the Kenyan Wananchi chapter, and South African Protea chapter, to organise an ACM SIGCHI Sponsored Summer School on Designing With or For Marginalised Communities. The school welcomes post-graduate students, academics, and industry practitioners for hands-on training on HCI concepts, techniques and research methods. The school includes teaching, mentoring and taking the participants on a field trip to an existing research partner community in Namibia.
